As the local internet user base continues to grow and the volume of locally generated content increases, we identified the need to strengthen the local internet ecosystem by facilitating direct traffic exchange between networks.

By interconnecting ISPs and CDNs within Sri Lanka, Colocix significantly reduces latency and enhances the overall internet experience for end-users.

Members are invited to set up BGP sessions with Colocix Route servers which are physically located in two independent locations via given L2 port. Member can advertise his own prefixes (and his customer prefix as well) to Route servers and may accept prefix set of RSS wise versa. Members are free to set up mutual BGP sessions with each other but colocix has no control on such mutually arranged BGP sessions. Members are recommended not to congest traffic and advised to upgrade at reaching peak capacity of 75% of L2 port. .
